With seven beautiful parks offering walking trails, fishing, boat landings, birding and vast nature retreats, we believe Amery is a "great place" for families and retirees and we welcome our visitors wholeheartedly.
In addition, the Amery area boasts two of the areas largest lakes:
Lake
Wapogasset, or "Lake of the Big Fish" is the largest body of water in
Polk
County- with nearly fourteen miles of shoreline and over 1,400 acres of water - will challenge the fisherman, excite the water enthusiast, entertain the boater and calm the spirit.
Bear
Trap
Lake, a 241 acre lake, is a favorite destination for boating, skiing, tubing or swimming. Bass, walleye, northern, muskies, sunnies, crappies and perch will keep the kids happy and the avid panfisherman busy cleaning fish! Therefore, we are known as the "City of
